I, a christian, get annoyed when ppl "beat ppl over the head with the bible" as u call it cuz God teaches us kindness, gentleness and peace. But he also teaches us that homosexuality is a sin but i dont think it should be taken out of acontext too more than that. Lying is also a sin but we shouldn't beat liars over the head with a bile, so is idolatry and many other things.
