I think Gershwin was one of the all-time greatest novelty pianists, along with Confrey, Bargy, Sims, Arndt, Banta, Schutt, etc. Too bad he only wrote a handful of pieces in the idiom, although his pop song arrangements (as here) are superb. __________________________________________________
