Description:
I've put a few of my favourite clips together from the early days of Sesame Street. I believe this show had more influence on my first years of education than school ever did...haha!! Thanks Sesame Street! You gotta love that Theme Tune :o) |

kll510 ::: Favorites Agreed kdehead. We never had adults around when we played outside. Ah the good old days. Glad I was a kid then and not now. 07-09-02 21:22:39 _____________________________________________________
tullo200 ::: Favorites Well the whole deal was he was doing a segment with some rappers. I dont remember exactly WHO it was though...some more research is necessary i think so yeah, the bat in his hair was for street cred, i guess 07-08-31 09:56:08 _____________________________________________________
lemuelbecc ::: Favorites This makes sense, yeah i think that was it. Thanks! It had been nagging my mind. 07-08-29 13:02:51 _____________________________________________________
tullo200 ::: Favorites Actually, the count just had a bat shaved into the back of his hair. Why do I remember this? :P 07-08-29 10:17:10 _____________________________________________________
luckyboy19 ::: Favorites I'm probably totally wrong...But I always thought the falling baker was Jim Henson himself. Snuffy did come out after a while...It was only at the start that people didn't believe poor old Big Bird...I do remember them thinking he was going crazy...haha!! Thanks for commenting :o) 07-08-22 04:56:34 _____________________________________________________
diamonddog13 ::: Favorites I'm also 39, and this brought back great memories. Having only watched brief snippets of it in the years following my childhood, I wondered what became of the falling baker. Damn those overprotective parents! But I also wonder about this closing sequence with Snuffleupagus and the kids. My memory of the show at that time was that only Big Bird ever saw Snuffy, and everybody else thought Big Bird was crazy or hallucinating when describing him. So was Snuffy outed much earlier than I remember? 07-08-21 20:30:27 _____________________________________________________
kscarpetta ::: Favorites Cool Idea! I'd almost be willing to get cable tv again just to see it. :-) 07-08-20 03:11:42 _____________________________________________________
kdehead ::: Favorites note in the title sequence at the start how the kids are running around WITHOUT ANY ADULTS AROUND. i dunno folks - maybe i'm just getting older, but i think we had way more freedom back then. 07-08-18 17:08:58 _____________________________________________________
kdehead ::: Favorites damn fine idea. why isnt there a 1970s kids freeview channel? pretty sure there would be a market for it. just play nothing but 1970s shows - the whole darn lot. 07-08-18 17:06:22 _____________________________________________________
kdehead ::: Favorites "I believe this show had more influence on my first years of education than school ever did." yer telling me mate! still know how to count to 10 in Spanish - all thanks to Sesame Street. 07-08-18 17:02:13 _____________________________________________________ |
