markdj431 ::: Favorites 2007-12-25 20:09:09 Canada's attack on the arctic seals has been recognized around the world as the most reprehensible and cowardly assault on a marine mammal species in history and an enormous crime against the environment. Canadian ministers are used to hiding like rats in faceless socialist bureaucracies to avoid being held accountable for their deeds, but they are nothing but thugs and should be jailed for their crimes. __________________________________________________
markdj431 ::: Favorites 2007-12-25 20:08:34 Canadian ministers are a criminal and greedy gang of warmongers and spineless bush minions. They are responsible for massive environmental destruction. Canada's so called "ministers" decimated the cod population, once numbering in the millions. Unbelievably they then used the arctic seals as a propaganda tool to justify the fisheries criminal greed. Ignoring a global outcry Canadian subsidized fisheries descended on arctic seals, slaughtering hundreds of thousands with barbaric cruelty. __________________________________________________
mvangaal ::: Favorites 2007-12-15 23:03:54 Well, it is good that you believe, as I do, that Canada must be more proactive in the world with respect to peacekeeping and foreign aid. __________________________________________________
mvangaal ::: Favorites 2007-12-15 23:03:41 As you are aware, there are different ways to undertake a foreign aid policy. My foreign aid will not focus on government to government aid as a means of nation building. I believe that by providing the basic aid (for food, water, medication -- to help the people stay and become healthy so that they can function at the local level) can, in time, transform a nation. __________________________________________________
mvangaal ::: Favorites 2007-12-15 23:03:26 Foreign aid, in my opinion, does not have to be in food per se, it may be in the form of helping the people in a particular nation with the transportation of food from one region (with a harvest) to another area (hit by a crop failure). This will ensure that the local economies are not negatively effected. It is important that the aid reaches the local level and so I also believe that we should have more people on the ground to make the system accountable. __________________________________________________
mvangaal ::: Favorites 2007-12-15 23:02:55 The world is full of regions in need and issues to be dealt with, we should work in the area in which our limited budget for foreign aid will make the greatest difference and be suited to what we can provide. A specific answer to that question is no doubt debatable by even foreign aid experts and will be the result of research and discussion. __________________________________________________ |
