But I hope you guys like this review of the Superman/Doomsday movie and remember to post lots of comments and rate it http://youtube.com/user/Scratimus |

adv2k1 ::: Favorites It's just a guess dude. Calm down. I have no why execs do what they do. If you have a better guess I'll like to hear it 07-10-02 02:11:49 __________________________________________________
BlackPhoenix06 ::: Favorites Oh wow. So because previous animated movies are bad they didnt take a chance on this? That liks saying the WB shouldnt have done Batman Begins because the preceding movie in the franchise was horrible. Oh well, their loss. Movie wasnt to bad anyway. 07-10-01 12:44:02 __________________________________________________
adv2k1 ::: Favorites my guess is simple higher-ups who order movies didn't think it would rent well enough to justify carrying it. Maybe that brainiac superman did horrible for stores or other animated movies like ironman rented badly so they assumed same for this. Just a guess. 07-10-01 11:51:55 __________________________________________________
BlackPhoenix06 ::: Favorites Does anyone know exactly why Hollywood Video or Blockbuster didnt have this movie? 07-10-01 10:41:35 __________________________________________________
adv2k1 ::: Favorites DC / Warner Bros this is a gamble a pg13 superman animated movie when this is more violent than justice league. hate it or love it but tons of small kids watch and parents may not buy, and most fanboys are skepitcal. Superman returns movie only did 250 million in USA, did great overall but never good enough for WB. So they did best they could with time/budget they had. Things can never be 100% like comic, just accept that and judge on its own merits, not what it could of been 07-09-29 10:33:38 __________________________________________________
PerfectChaos1212 ::: Favorites i understand what you mean, it could have easily been a trillogy superman doomsday, reign of supermen, and superman returns/rebirth. 07-09-29 08:34:35 __________________________________________________
PerfectChaos1212 ::: Favorites the main problem is dc wont let them extend over 75 minutes 07-09-29 08:29:54 __________________________________________________
wontimer ::: Favorites but what it aint is superman: doomsday. The Doomsday story up until the death is almost an entire feature itself. by the sounds of it, it should've been called superman: resurrection or something. This film had the ability to be a 4 piece box set and if it aint and lacks the crucial plot developments of the comics and novel DC deserves verbal attacks for it. they had 15 years to get it right and it sounds like they let their devoted fans down big time 07-09-29 01:44:02 __________________________________________________
wontimer ::: Favorites i agree. haven't seen it and when i do i'll enjoy it(nastalgia) but as it seems so far, they doushed bigtime and they already had the perfect template for the greatest storyline ever. i've watched one review and a five minute clip and i already have a list of disappointments. 07-09-29 01:33:21 __________________________________________________
wontimer ::: Favorites in the comics doomsday was around for a few months rocking the entire dc universe. Doomsday was there to destroy and metropolis was where the money was. superman was only there to stop him. if dc did this right it would have been a fourpart series releasing once a month and then sold as a boxset. they couldve rebuilt the empire with this story and from the snips i've seen so far, they poofed. 07-09-29 01:30:13 __________________________________________________ |
